"Black Grass" is the atmospheric opening sequence of the Cult of Psyche archive—a poetic original composition exploring urban decay, identity fracture, and endurance through darkness, framed as an invitation into Psyche's nightmare world.
>> Everybody says the light is waiting somewhere past the static sky. They speak of peace with smiling faces. I've only learned to wonder why. I watch the headlights cross the freeway, ghosts pretending they're alive. The city's breathing through cracked concrete while broken dreams refuse to die. I wear my scars
like stolen medals. I paint my smile until it cracks. The mirror says I'm still surviving. My shadow whispers, "Take it back." Everything truly leaves another fingerprint. Every promise turns to smoke.
Every midnight conversation ends with somebody becoming a ghost. Welcome to psyche's nightmare where angels lose their names, where broken halos flicker like neon in the rain, where dancing with our demons inside abandoned
dreams, laughing through the sirens. >> >> Nothing's what it seems. If darkness has a heartbeat, it sounds like me. >> >> Sounds like me. >> >> Sounds like me.
Cigarettes burn down the memories. The ash spells out forgotten names. Phone calls left a little too Regret arrives exactly the same. Everybody wears another costume. Everyone becomes a role. You don't notice who's disappearing until they're only stories told. The walls remember every
secret. The ceiling knows each silent prayer. Sometimes I swear the room is breathing. Maybe somebody's still in there. No heroes, no villains, only people trying not to become the monsters they imagine. Some lose themselves to hatred. Some
disappear in flames. Some build religions out of loneliness. Some never leave again. >>
>> Welcome to psyche's nightmares. Pull up another chair. Every soul's a haunted archive. Every heart repaired. We're laughing while we're bleeding. We're beautiful disasters. Still searching through the darkness for something that lasts forever.
>> >> If tomorrow never finds us, remember >> we were here. >> >> >> When the lights all finally fade
>> >> and the audience goes home >> >> from nightmares, keep streaming. >> >> Oh. Oh.
