A caller describes a confrontation with a neighbor who ripped off his Ring doorbell and threw it through his second-story window, causing significant damage. The property owner refuses to hold the tenant accountable and dismisses the incident.
He threw the He He ripped off my doorbell, and he threw it through my window. He It's actually my doorbell. I have a Ring doorbell, and I went down today it was gone. So, he ripped it off, and that's what he threw through my window. And he And Rudy came running out of the room when he did it. And then it's like And then But the sad thing is I like I called, you know, the owner or whatever, and they're like, "Well, you know, he's a paying tenant." And so I mean they they're They don't even care. Like it's like And they're like,
"Well, who do you think's going to pay for the window?" And they're like, "Not you." They're like "We're going to have to pay for it." And and I mean it Basically, I almost have to pay for it. It's like But he's not going to be have to have to pay for it because it's like Wow. >> Dude, you should have called the cops. I would have called the cops right there and then. I would have called the owner and the cops. That way at least both of them are covered. >> The owner just didn't care. >> Yeah, well, they don't care because
they're not even there. They don't I They don't live on the property. Most, you know, property owners really don't care when they're landlords. They just like cuz they have multiple units and stuff like that. >> Yeah. >> Or properties. So, they're like, "Oh, that's just one of many of the properties that they have." >> The owner is when the owner is or in your family, it's kind of an insult. >> Oh, it's your family member. Oh, and that's even That's even worse. Dude, I would have called the cops, man. I would
have been like, "Hey, this gig has broke my window, and I don't know what to do. I let my landlord know." >> I got yelled at. They're They're like, "Well, you cuz you're a weirdo, and you know, you probably are too loud and stuff like that. You're bothering him." They didn't say that. >> Oh, hell no, dude. I would have No. Mhm. There's no excuse for that, bro. He He destroyed your property cuz you still have to pay rent there. You still got to, you know,
whether you paint it or or it's, you know, your family member, somebody on your side has to pay for it, though. Yeah. Yeah. And that's not fair. That's not fair, man, because he shouldn't be breaking your window. >> Yeah. >> He could have just knocked and >> He knocked on my doorbell. He ripped off the doorbell. Like I have a Ring doorbell, the camera, you know? >> Yeah. >> He ripped off that, and he threw it
through my second-story window. There's a huge hole in it now.
