Mahabarata, Ramba and her absara sisters Alamusha, Mish Mishmish, Rakeshi, Bid Hilarna, Hilo, Tama, Aruna, Rakshittita Monorama Subaru Kashina Surata and Suraja are the daughters of
the sage Kashiappa and his wife Prada. In the Bavad Piranha, the name of the mother of the absaras is Mooney. In some piranic scriptures, a varying account is found according to which Ramba and other absaraas emerged from the Kashira Sagara, the ocean of milk during Samudra Montana.
