Summary
The six children born to the monkey and ogress represent the six realms of Buddhist existence: hell realm (grimly patient), hungry ghosts (grotesque and insatiable), animal realm (dull), human realm (wise and sensitive), demigod realm (competitive and jealous), and god realm (patient and virtuous). This reflects the spectrum of human nature.
