Episode 0 features host Psyche alone, delivering an extended spoken-word performance beginning at ▶ 0:04. The piece opens with instructions to remain horizontal and not blink [0:07–0:14], establishing a tone of constraint and observation. Psyche constructs a series of surreal domestic scenarios: a melted clock at quarter past never, a hallway that multiplies, slippers descending into a cellar [0:38–0:49]. A recurring refrain emerges—"Sleep, a little static sleep / The antennas drinking your dreams"—repeated at [1:03–1:06], [2:05–2:08], and variations throughout. At ▶ 1:27, Psyche names this space "the dead air la." Midway through [1:36–2:00], the imagery shifts to animate household objects: a cat with too many eyes, a mirror that rejects the viewer's face, and a mysterious houseguest in the corner of one's vision since childhood. A second refrain section begins at ▶ 2:33 with a counting game—"One sheep, two sheep, the third one's wrong"—followed by warnings not to open the door for morning because "morning was cancelled" [2:52–2:55]. Contradictory instructions arrive at [3:02–3:08]: "Rewind me / Rewind me / Do not rewind me." The final section [3:17–3:29] introduces "sigils" that awaken and consume cold. Psyche concludes at [3:44–3:56] with the reversal: "This concludes tonight's broadcast / You were never watching it / It was watching you."
This episode appears to function as a deliberate subversion of the podcast's typical panel-discussion format, opting instead for an immersive consciousness exploration. The repeated invocation of stillness, watching, and passive listening suggests an interrogation of the listener's role—are we observers or observed? The pervasive grammar of negation ('do not blink,' 'don't trust,' 'don't open the door') continues the show's pattern of presenting occult and consciousness concepts through prohibition and paradox rather than explanation. The imagery of domestic spaces becoming strange (wallpaper breathing, furniture with agency, faces in mirrors becoming strangers) suggests that sleep and the boundary between waking and dreaming are where familiar reality destabilizes. The 'static' and 'antennas' motif implies consciousness itself as a frequency or transmission—something received rather than generated. The final inversion—'you were never watching it, it was watching you'—crystallizes what appears to be the episode's core thesis: that awareness is reciprocal, and the listener's assumption of detachment from the content is itself the subject of investigation.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled sleep. Please remain horizontal. Please do not blink. Please do not count the others in your bed.
The clock has melted to a quarter past never. The hallway grew a second then a third. Your slippers walked themselves into the cellar and answered when you didn't say a word. There's a hum behind your teeth tonight. A frequency that learned your name.
Don't trust the lamp. It's lying with the light. The wallpaper is breathing all the same. Sleep. A little static sleep. The antennas drinking your dreams. Sleep. A little static sleep. Nothing here is ever what it seems. The
tape won't stop. The screen won't blink. You're further from the morning than you think. This is the dead air la. You're already lying where you'll lie.
The cat has too many eyes this evening. She's counting all the exits one through nine. The mirror kept your face but stopped believing and handed you a stranger soft and kind. There's a house guest in the corner of your eye. He's been patient since you were a child. He doesn't want your body just the
night. He'll fold you up and keep you for a while. Sleep, little static sleep. The antennas drinking your dreams. Sleep, little static sleep. Nothing here is ever what it seems. The tape won't stop. The screen won't blink. You're
further from the morning than you think. This is the dead air la. You're already lying where you'll lie.
One sheep, two sheep, the third one's wrong. This wool is wet and its legs too long. Don't open the door for the morning sun.
Morning was cancelled. There won't be one.
Rewind me. Rewind me. Do not rewind me. Sleep little static. The channel's gone cold. The sigils awake
and it's eating the cold. The tape won't stop. It won't. It won't. The screen won't blink again. Again. You're already lying where you'll lie.
This concludes tonight's broadcast. You were never watching it. It was watching you. Please stand by.
