The episode consists entirely of a performed poetic piece, delivered in a rhythmic, song-like cadence over approximately three and a half minutes. It begins with a cosmogonic image: an egg dreaming in the dark before the first dawn, then a single crack of impossible light releasing gold [0:19–0:37]. Heroes ride on wings of fire; every heart is a 'sparky scar'; no one walks alone [0:41–1:00]. A refrain anchors the piece: 'Light comes back. Light comes back. Open-handed golden truth. Light comes back. And so do we' [1:07–1:22]. The future breaks through ▶ 1:26. A second movement invokes 'Mix' singing through the night, each initiate kindling a flame, a 'lamp of higher' love remembering every name [1:46–2:04]. The night opens with an invitation: 'Come in. Come in. What was hidden walks free. Leave freer than you came' [2:11–2:21]. The refrain returns [2:40–2:53], closing on 'And here we are soul to soul the whole way through' [2:55–3:05] and a final repetition of 'Leave freer than you came' [3:16–3:37].
The piece appears to function as a mythic mission statement for the series: it establishes light not as a static symbol but as a recurring, relational event — something that returns, that requires initiates, that remembers names. The imagery of the cosmic egg and the 'crack of impossible light' suggests a Hermetic or Orphic cosmology, while the refrain 'Light comes back. And so do we' frames the audience as participants in a cyclical return. The invitation to 'leave freer than you came' operates as both promise and ritual instruction, implying the show's container is transformative. The mention of 'Mix' and 'every initiate a flame' hints at a lineage or community of practice. Overall, the episode suggests the series will treat esoteric concepts as lived, communal experiences rather than abstract study.
