Summary
Psyche is prophesied by an oracle to be sacrificed to a monster on a mountain. Her people abandon her there, but instead of meeting her doom, she is lifted by the west wind into another realm. Her willingness to accept her fate—or her faith despite it—becomes the circumstance that allows Cupid to encounter her authentically.
