had the run about side never change. Did you say a heartbreak? right in front of us. A heartbreak breed is a great dame on concrete for the night. Never in my house again. I didn't have to beat him. I just had to discipline him. I put hay down and so he wouldn't stick to the concrete.
I'm having I'm having a rough time cuz you know my dog is just uh you know Well, you have to have a routine same time every day to take him out in a piss. Fair. Fair. You have to train yourself, not the dog. That's the others. Yeah, I guess you're right. I got to train
myself. That's right. It's not the dog's fault. If the drug goes out at 7 11 1, he'll he'll get those down and then kennel training. The dog won't where he he lays or where he eats. They don't like that. Perfect. He's perfect
with a kennel, which is surprising, but everything else, you know, as long as you don't use it as a punishment. No, never. First time you use that kennel for punishment, then they'll be like, "No, I don't want to go in there cuz I'm being I got I got my dog I got my dog from a racetrack." Yeah. My brother got saved one from the race. He He don't go
in the kennel. He don't He He came from a racetrack. He does not go in the kennel. He sleeps in my bed. I just got Mikey to He jumped up here on the water bed finally after five days. Good boy. Uh, good boy. He is. You saved him. Yeah, he he came from a racetrack
in Florida and uh he does not like the kennel. I I I got a kennel just for him to have a safe place to go to, but as soon as I got him, he never went in it. So, I just got rid of the kennel. They all they all react differently to to that man. Cuz all the trainers and owners act so differently towards them. Some believe beating others, you know.
So, it's it's crazy, man. Like, I used to have a uh I used to have a female greyhound, too. And and she would go in the kennel just as like her security zone. Like, she would go in there when she was like, you know, scared or nervous or whatever. And that was like her safety zone. And so, I had to have a kennel with the female. But with him, he just he just goes in my bed.
Sleeps in my bed. I like it when the dogs sleep. Will you cut it out? Oh, dude. You got sleep with the dogs. I mean, come on, man. I cannot imagine not sleeping. I'm in a man. I'm in a man witch. I know what you were doing.

that was so heartbroken and my dog was black. It was night time and you know the guy was like, you know, he was like, I am so sorry. I'm so you know, oh my god, I got out. I couldn't get out of the car because another dog just like it, a German Shepherd, black and I broadsided that
bastard with everything that little poor truck had. So, it died instantly and I got out of the truck and I saw the other dog and I got back in the truck and I just started balling. Did you see the owner? The owner came out. You talked to the owner. The owner was right there letting those two dogs run like he understands. You know, it's not it's not your fault. They
just falling so hard. I couldn't drive for like 15 20 minutes. I was shaking and let him Yeah, dude. Tracy, one time I had to go for a emergency knee surgery. My knee got cut with a broken bottle and I had to go to the hospital for surgery and my my door to my house was open and I had I had a cat and the
cat got out of the house and it got hit by a car and I got out of the hospital and I went I went on my crutches looking for this cat and I found it in the middle of the street and I was like, "Oh dude." That's exactly what happened to me minus the hospital. The door the front door was left open and the they ran right out into the Yeah. I had to go get surgery. I didn't even
think about it. And well, did you see what Boston did? Them prick pig cops. Who? They for the marathon right there at the finish line. They were, you know, doing and a dog came out and it's barking at the cop and the cop turned around and shot the instead of calling

I'm so afraid now because like Duke Duke just turned 10 in March and I'm afraid that when he dies, I'm not going to be able to replace him because now racing is illegal in almost
every state. And like they're not breeding greyhounds for racing. So no one's breeding greyhounds and they're so expensive. Like to get a greyhound puppy is like $10,000. Like it it's super expensive now to get a greyhound. Like it's crazy. Yours was a rescue. I didn't know. Mine's a rescue. Yeah, mine's a
rescue. Yeah, like the different states cuz um I knew like dog racing, greyhound racing is now illegal in nearly every state in the US. That's April 2025. No. No. There's only one state as of April 7th, 2025. There's only one state in the

and every other state has either banned the practice entirely or seen the tracks closed down like due to when I was when I was living in when I was living in Las Vegas, I had Duke for about a year, right? I got him from Florida. And what they do with the dogs is they actually send them to blood banks when they're
done racing. Greyhounds, they send them to blood banks because most 90% of greyhounds that are pure blood, they uh they're they're like O type blood. So if, god forbid, your dog gets hit by a car and it needs a blood transfusion, the stock that they pull from is typically greyhound blood. And um anyway, I had a female I was
reading the paper. Where were you going with that? when then when you what was like the uh So that's where I got him from. I got him from a blood bank because he wasn't the right blood type. They were going to put him down cuz they couldn't make any money from him because they couldn't drain him for his blood and they were going to put him down. So I got him from
this place called Hemopet, which is they basically just suck his blood out of him and sell it to veterinar. And I'm on the I'm on the I'm on the one day reading that Arizona made racing illegal. And I showed you my dogs got tattoos in his ears, right? They found a mass grave of
like a hundred dogs with their ears cut off so that way you couldn't tell what what kennel they were from. And I was like, you know what? it. Let's go get another one. And I went and got a female greyhound. Yo, that's so that's like people like when they remove people's teeth and think of it's like the same that's what they were doing. They didn't want you to identify
where the dog came from. So they they cut their ears off and and put them in a mass grave cuz they were just a bill to these people. They're like we can't make any money off of them racing them. We they're just a bill. We got to feed them. We got to house them. We got to shelter them. Like and at that point it's just a bill to these people. And I'm like this is up. Like let's go get another dog. So we got a female.
I typed in like Jack like bloodbank greyhound culture and there is a ton of Oh yeah, dude. Yeah. No, I'm telling you when they retire greyhounds, they go to blood banks. They go to blood bank. I never knew this. I got rid of the guy spelling Wow. Did me? Yeah. Look at those teeth.
Look at those little teeth. Oh yeah. Why? Why? Can you help me out with that? Why is it um the greyhounds blood? Why are they so special? Cuz it's O. Is that because they're they're universal donor. It's like an Os gota. They're they're Dude, they're such good
dogs, too, man. They don't bark. They're they're very they're very uh lowmaintenance. Like, dude, they they're they sleep all day. That's all he does all day is just sleep. That's all he does. They tend to have universal blood type, DEA 1.1 negative, making their blood compatible with almost every breed. They have higher red blood cell counts,
larger veins, which makes blood collection easier. Greyhounds are retired from racing, and are healthy, lean, and and like you said, they just get their blood sucked out of them. Do you know the psyche, any of this I didn't know. I didn't know about this. It's just it's horrifying. Yeah. So, god forbid your dog gets hit by a car and needs a blood transfusion.

The CNA told me, hey, I was
changing the I was changing them and and they looked really up. Their legs were up and we had to send them out to the hospital and they had to go have tubes put into their kidneys for necropsy. like uh 100%. You that the listen I go around I do my med pass whatever but I don't do like skin assessments. When a CNA tells me that there's something that I need to look
for then I will go and I will look and document it. That's a thing that needs to be paid attention to 100% because honestly the CNAs are the ones doing the skin assessments. If there's an issue with the skin assessment, then then I will technically the nurse are supposed to be doing that.
Yeah, we're we're supposed to. The problem is is that we are overworked. So, it's hard to do a skin assessment. You have 38 patients to pass meds to. No, not 38. 28. Yeah,
we have 35 residents that we are also supposed to be doing cares on assessments.
