Psyche presents a comprehensive breakdown of Godbody Reigns' lifestyle philosophy across four pillars ▶ 0:32. First, his primal breakfast diet ▶ 0:47: Godbody creates a healing shake using raw whole eggs (shell included) ▶ 1:12 for natural calcium, and believes humans can naturally live to 120 years old if free from chemical exposure, rejecting the notion that reaching 100 represents normal longevity [1:47-2:10]. Second, ash and needle tattoos ▶ 2:15: he gathers wood or yerba mate leaves from the forest, burns them to ash, mixes the carbon with water to create homemade ink, and punctures his skin with sewing needles or sharpened household items like his grandmother's earring [2:28-2:52], describing this as a meditative ritual [3:27-3:35]. Third, extreme fasting and spirit ▶ 4:05: Godbody recently completed a five-day fast with no food, and three days without water [4:10-4:20], viewing fasting as necessary for spiritual endurance inspired by Old Testament discipline [4:48-4:53], and he explicitly rejects modern weight-loss drugs and steroids as biological sabotage [5:00-5:17]. Fourth, escaping the modern world ▶ 5:20: his overarching philosophy positions barefoot grounding, natural elements, and complete sovereignty outside corporate employment as ideal, contrasted against rubber-soled shoes, synthetic clothing, chemical cleaners, and the 9-to-5 job [5:33-5:57]. He encapsulates this conviction with the statement that humans were biologically designed as gardeners of the Earth [6:06-6:10], and responds to employment challenges with the defiant stance: 'I'm not trying to be domesticated. I'm not trying to clock in like you' [6:26-6:30].
The episode appears to frame Godbody Reigns' practices as part of a coherent philosophical system rather than isolated eccentricities—one that suggests a fundamental distrust of modernity as inherently toxic and domesticating. Psyche's structure implies that each pillar (diet, body modification, fasting, escape) reinforces a single worldview: that human vitality has been compromised by industrial convenience, and that reclaiming authentic existence requires deliberate, often painful rejection of those conveniences. The thread running through all four sections suggests that for Godbody, suffering and difficulty are not obstacles to overcome but evidence of authenticity—the raw egg shell, the needle pokes, the waterless fast, the bare feet all operate as spiritual disciplines and markers of genuine commitment. This continues the show's pattern of exploring alternative consciousness and non-mainstream lifestyles without clinical framing, instead presenting them as internally consistent belief systems worthy of examination.

Okay, let's dive into this. Today's Explainer is taking us into a subculture that is, well, entirely off the grid in terms of how most of us live. We're looking at a creator known online as God Body Reigns. We're going to examine his hours-long stream of consciousness broadcast that reveals an incredibly raw, elemental lifestyle. It's a captivating deep dive into an extreme
rejection of modern conveniences in favor of what he considers to be a much more natural, primitive human state. To make sense of his sprawling broadcast, we're going to >> break his worldview down into four distinct pillars. First, his primal breakfast diet. Second, ash and needle tattoos. Third, extreme fasting and
spirit. And finally, escaping the modern world. Section one, the primal breakfast diet. Now, what's really interesting about this is how it ties into his physical routine, starting with exactly how he recovers from an illness. His morning healing shake, which he makes to kick a fever, starts off totally normal. You know, milk, oatmeal,
some berries, an apple, and beets for the blood and organs. But then, he drops in his protein source. He doesn't just crack an egg, he tosses the entire uncracked raw egg, shell and all, straight into the blender. Why? For natural calcium. So, yeah, definitely not your standard smoothie run. It's a completely unfiltered raw approach to nutrition.
>> He explains his mindset perfectly right here. I'm trying to give my body a competitive edge to get over this little thing I caught. For him, physical health completely bypasses modern medicine. There are no over-the-counter pills or pharmacy trips happening here. If he gets sick, he relies 100% on raw, nutrient-dense foods to fight it off naturally.
>> And that brings us to a fascinating number, 120. During the broadcast, he shares this core belief about human longevity. He argues that modern humans are dying way too early because of our toxic environments. Get this, he thinks reaching 100 years old is actually dying young. He genuinely believes that if humanity lived in harmony with natural elements,
without that constant chemical exposure, living to 120 would just be the totally normal natural baseline for a human lifespan. Section two, ash and needle tattoos. And as we'll see, his rejection of the modern world goes far beyond just what he eats. So, the crucial point is that this primal lifestyle extends right
down to his skin. When he wants a tattoo, he literally gathers wood from the forest or dries out yerba mate tea leaves and burns them down to pure ash. He then mixes that carbon ash with water to create his own homemade ink. Finally, he punctures his own skin using basic household items. Usually, it's a
standard sewing needle, but in one wildly memorable instance he recounts, he actually sharpened his grandmother's earring to get the job done. When you contrast standard professional practices with his primal method, the difference is just night and day. Professional tattooing relies on chemical inks that he argues are packed with heavy metals, mechanical tattoo guns, and specialized healing lotions.
His method? It strips all of that away. It is just natural carbon, a handheld needle, and what he calls dry healing, meaning he puts absolutely nothing on the skin while it recovers. He firmly claims this straight carbon method is biologically superior and way healthier than anything a professional shop can offer. This quote really captures the why behind it all. He says, "I grab
something from the woods and I burnt it up and I made my own ink. It's like a meditative ritual to me." For him, the primitive DIY process, and honestly even the physical pain, are not drawbacks at all. Every single manual poke of that needle is a deliberate, intensely personal, and meditative experience that connects him to the earth. But that level of extreme dedication
leads us to a major question. What is the core engine actually driving these intense physical routines? To really understand that, we need to pivot to his deep mental and spiritual disciplines. Section three, extreme fasting and spirit. And this brilliantly illustrates the sheer lengths he will go to. The number five represents a recent fast where he
went five straight days entirely without food. To make it even more intense, and dangerous frankly, for three of those days he consumed absolutely no water either. We're talking about a severe, uncompromising level of physical deprivation here. So, what is the actual purpose of a fast like this? Well, it goes way beyond weight loss. He believes that modern humans are basically conditioned to
snack constantly. Because of this, our digestive systems are perpetually processing food and never get a chance to truly rest or properly absorb nutrients. He uses fasting to completely halt this cycle and recalibrate his metabolism. Furthermore, he draws heavy inspiration from the extreme discipline of Old Testament figures, viewing these extended fasts as an absolute necessity for building spiritual endurance. Which
leads directly to this core tenant, true discipline requires the hard way. During his broadcast, he takes a super firm stance against modern weight loss drugs, appetite suppressants, and steroids. He points out that taking a chemical shortcut doesn't just trick your stomach. It enters your bloodstream and touches every single cell in your body. To him, these modern shortcuts aren't
just lazy, they are a literal form of biological sabotage. Section four, escaping the modern world. Let's move on and see how this all builds into his overarching philosophy of the world. His whole world view is basically defined by a total rejection of our artificial modern reality. Think about it. On one side, you have modern life, rubber-soled shoes that block the
earth's static energy, toxic chemical cleaners, synthetic clothing fibers, and of course, the dreaded 9-to-5 job that he claims leaves people fundamentally miserable. But on the flip side is his ideal, walking barefoot to physically ground with the Earth, using only natural elements, wearing natural fibers, and maintaining absolute sovereignty and freedom, completely outside the corporate machine.
I really want to highlight this specific, honestly pretty poetic detail from the source material. He notes, "We were born with soft bottom feet, not hooves, because humans were meant to be the gardeners of the Earth." This just perfectly illustrates his deep conviction that humans are biologically and spiritually designed to directly interact with and cultivate nature, rather than pave over it and hide inside
from it. And he defends this lifestyle fiercely, as we can hear in this quote. "I'm not trying to be domesticated. I'm not trying to clock in like you." When viewers in his live stream challenge him about getting a traditional job, his tone is unapologetic. He views standard societal expectations and corporate employment not as
responsible living, but as a literal form of domestication that strips away human vitality. So, what we found in this explainer isn't just a collection of random eccentric habits. It reveals a highly intentional alternative philosophy. It's really a fascinating character study of a unique, primal subculture that deliberately rejects modern
conveniences in pursuit of a raw, elemental, and entirely self-directed existence. Which leaves us with this final provocative thought to take away. In our rush to make life as clean, comfortable, and convenient as possible, have we accidentally domesticated ourselves? It's a powerful question and definitely something worth pondering the next time you strap on a pair of rubber shoes or step into an office. Thank you
so much for joining me for this explainer, and I'll catch you next time.
